Welcome to our Website! Benchmark Builders is a construction company based out of beautiful Haywood County carrying a license for both Residential and Commercial Construction.

                 Sharon Massie, the president of our company has had a long history in real-estate and is a licensed realtor.   She has years of experience helping homeowners and dreamers alike build the house of their dreams.

                 Joseph Massie is the licensed contractor and vice president for Benchmark Builders of WNC, Inc.  He also hold a Bachelors of Science degree from Appalachian State University in Industrial Construction Technology.  

                 We set the bar 30 years ago for a quality built custom home.  We are proud to say as “green” thinkers ourselves that we  were one of the first builders in this area to implement “green” concepts and practices in every home that we have built.  We take pride in the sustainability of our product.

Text Box: When it was time to build a new home on our Waynesville property, we interviewed four of the best contractors in the area and checked them out thoroughly. We talked with the builders' clients and visited homes to inspect the workmanship firsthand. Two builders stood out as winners but we chose Benchmark Builders because we jelled with the Massie family and crew. Benchmark suggested a few architect plan changes that lowered the building cost and made the house "greener" - and they delivered the house to us on schedule and on budget!
